Fitzgerald's Reno To Finally Get New Ownership

The long belabored story of Fitzgerald's Reno's slow rise from bankruptcy to near abandonment may be drawing to a close.
The Nevada Gaming Commission will be meeting on Thursday to vote on whether or not the aging downtown Reno property will get a new owner in the form of Robert Cashell Jr., son of Reno's Mayor Bob Cashell.
The purchase price for Fitzgeralds has been reported in the $25M range. Peanuts, considering it lies right at the foot of the famed Reno Arch - the most famous icon in all of Reno.
