Dr. David Schwartz, head of gaming studies department at UNLV and proud fan of dexterous Canadian prog trio RUSH, pinged us with a link to their brand new Gaming Hall of Fame online exhibit.

If you've never checked out UNLV's online exhibits - they are a must for any and every person interested in the history of Las Vegas, mythical hotels of yore, rare photos and other extremely valuable information. Essential stuff to get lost in for a coupla days.

Most notably in the Hall of Fame Exhibit is a page all about the object of our affection - Mr. Wayne F. "Las Vegas" Newton. WFN is is an inductee from the year 2000. Obviously there must've been a computer glitch when the votes were counted being Y2k and all.

In related WFN news - he's back at Ho-ho-Harrah's for his annual Christmas Spectacular from November 15 until the red belly makes his annual run. In the immortal words of Dean Martin: "I don't care who you are fat man, get those reindeer off my roof!". After all, the roof at Harrah's might cave in.

Comments & Discussion:

Is is strange that Elaine Wynn was inducted in 1999 and ol Steve-o not till 2006???
