The Trippies Are Coming, The Trippies Are Coming!

It's hard to believe that almost a year has passed since we opened up the nomination process for the 2006 Trippies - VegasTripping's Best (and worst) of Las Vegas awards. Last year the voting was fast and furious with a bunch of new categories honoring the restaurants, hotels, casinos and shows we love as well as honoring many talented folks who do something "Vegas" on the internets.

In the last year numerous hotels have closed for implosion, most have upgraded their offerings and some have faded from grace to mediocrity. Again we're handing the keys over to you... the readers of VegasTripping to nominate your favorite, hotels, shows, restaurants, casinos, blogs, websites, podcasts and more for inclusion in the final voting of the 2007 Trippies. Based on a lot of feedback we've gotten from you we've reshuffled the categories a little and will post them in late August, but that doesn't mean you've got a month to slack! You can still fire up your thinking caps and think about who you would like to see nominated for this years Trippies.

Take a gander at last years winners and compare that to what you've experienced during your Vegas trips so far this year and get your nominee list ready.

Nominations will begin September 1st 2007 and run until October 15th. Final voting will begin on October 31st and run until December 15th... the winners will be announced in early January 2008.

Comments & Discussion:

I'd be interested in the best of the "mid-range." It's quite clear from the Trippies that Bellagio and Wynn are clearly heads and shoulders above the rest...in terms of quality and PRICE. But what about the best options available for who don't have the huge bankroll? Where's the best place to play $5-10 tables with friendly dealers? Where do you get the best value for a room averaging under $100? Are there shows worth seeing other than Cirque? These are the reviews I would like to see. Plus, I think there would be much greater diversity in the responses. Cheers from a Canadian fan!!!

fersure - those are great suggestions! thank you!
