Harrah's Announces Octavius Tower at Caesars
Harrah's Entertainment has announced a $1billion dollar expansion to the venerable Caesars Palace. The Octavius Tower addition will be located parallel to Flamingo Road, directly adjacent to the pool, right behind the Augustus Tower that opened last year.
Additionally, they will be adding a bunch of convention center space out back behind the pool, expanding the race and sports book, and refurbishing the Forum Tower. Speaking of pool... the pool will be renovated as well, with new spas, cabanas and other new amenities.
One little nit pick, it looks that the Octavius and Augustus towers together will make a gigantic wall that could very possibly obscure the sun from hitting the pool during certain seasons of the year. Based on the tilt of the earth, it will probably be the winter months, so maybe its not a big deal.
Here's a photo from Harrah's press release:

It's a curious move to be accidentally advertising the Beatles/Cirque show at The Mirage in the architectural renderings. Very surprised Harrah's let that sneak past their marketing department. Ooops.

How bout the Barbary Coast sign on the right side of the rendering. You would think they would know the name of "The newest name on the strip"
