Mighty curmudgeon Phil Ruffin is known for having the ability to change his mind. From the shelved "City By The Bay" to the unplugged "Montreaux" replacements for the New Frontier, Ruffin has been consistently consistent in not making definitive decisions.

It appears that Mr. Ruffin has also changed his mind about whether or not workers at the soon-to-be-closed New Frontier will get any severance packages.

When asked about the possibility of offering separation checks to his employees a few weeks ago... Ruffin responded with a firm "No." It seems that he's had a change of heart and will be giving employees bonuses at closing.

Employees with 20 years of service or more will be given $8000 on down to the recent hire jackpot of $300.

Props to you Phil Ruffin for being a man amongst greedy scoundrels.
