Note To Self: Don't Use Players Club Card If I Have Outstanding Warrants
Here's an interesting - and quite scary - bit of big brotherness courtesy of the Connecticut State Police and the fine folks at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
This past week Donald Dalessio of Pawtucket, Rhode Island popped into Foxwoods for a little action. Apparently, by using his players club card an alert was raised to casino police notifying them that Mr. Dalessio was in the casino. His Players Club account was flagged by Foxwoods for having an outstanding warrant - 'failure to appear.'
Foxwoods contacted the State Casino Police who gave him a comp room food and beverage at the local jail for a few nights.
So, the moral of the story is : a) don't forget to pay your tickets b) don't gamble at Foxwoods if you've got outstanding warrants c) OR if you do gamble at Foxwoods AND have outstanding warrants, don't use your players club card.
Crazy.
