The Venetian Macao, the ultra luxurious resort on Macau's Cotai Strip has announced its grand opening date - August 28th, 2007.

The Venetian Macao, will be situated on the Cotai Strip adjacent to the under construction resorts "City of Dreams" (a Melco/PBL property), Cotai Mega Resort (which looks like a mash-up of Venetian, Excalibur and the Vegas Hilton) and the recently delayed Wynn Cotai Project.

Crown Macau, which is located just north of Cotai in Taipa opened last month. MGM Grand Paradise Macau, which is neighbors with Wynn Macau in Macau "proper" will open later this year.

This Macau building boom sure is interesting. There's a lot of gambling going on up in that joint. If you had the loot, would you head over there?

Comments & Discussion:

interesting fact: the table games in Macao bring in 7 times the profit for the house than table games in the US. No wonder everyone wants a piece...

...and the Venetian's new "box of baccarat" (as Steve Wynn called the Sands Macau) will have 700, COUNT EM, SEVEN HUNDRED, gaming tables. Holy moly.
