Donald Trump may be slowly weasling his way out of Atlantic City. According to a report on the Dow Jones, Trump Entertainment has entered into a confidentiality agreement with former Aztar Executive Dennis Gomes.

Aztar and its Vegas and Atlantic City Tropicana properties were purchased by Columbia Sussex (now Tropicana Resorts) last year.

Gomes has spent some time as a member of the Nevada Gaming Control Board and ran the Taj Mahal for a while in the 1990's as well.

Gomes is thought to be among a few private-equity bidders for Trump Entertainment and is also seen getting financial backing from private-equity money. Morris Bailey, a real-estate developer who runs JEMB Realty Corp. with his son-in-law, is also expected to provide a key source of financing.
