MGM Mirage CEO Disses Gangbanging NBA Fans - Tells NBA to FOAD
In a testicular display of Grand proportions, MGM Mirage CEO Terry Lanni minced no words when expressing his opinion of the NBA to an Associated Press reporter. Mr. Lanni expressed outrage about the violent events that took place during NBA All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas, going outright to say that many guests, possibly Asian high-rollers in town to celebrate Chinese New Year - told casino hosts that they felt uncomfortable that weekend and opted to hide out in their suites instead of hit the tables. As a result MGM Mirage (and other Las Vegas properties) experienced a disappointing drop at the baccarat tables.
"The gang-bangers and others who came for purposes other than attending the game, they weren't very good for Las Vegas. [NBA Commissioner]Mr. Stern can keep his basketball franchises out of Las Vegas as far as I'm concerned."
MGM Mirage spokesperson later tried to pour water on Mr. Lanni's remarks, but we aren't buying it. The NBA Ruckus has hit MGM Mirage's bottom line and any smart CEO would do anything possible to protect their assets.
