Atlantic City Hilton to get $1B Upgrade
Another Atlantic City casino has announced a major make over, continuing the facelift of the gamble by the sea.
The Atlantic City Hilton has announced a mondo $1 billion dollar make over. The smallest joint on the boardwalk is poised to transform itself into a true destination megaresort with an infusion of cash equivalent to what it cost to build Borgata
New features at the revamped AC Hilton include a 1,000 room tower, doubling the size of its casino, shopping district, entertainment venue and a parking garage.
The Atlantic City Hilton was built by Steve Wynn, as the east coast wing of his burgeoning Golden Nugget empire in 1980. He jumped ship and sold the joint after getting into regulatory squabbles with the NJ Gaming Commission in 1987.
