Harrah's Entertainment, currently in the throes of a corporate buyout by Apollo Texas Instruments Starbucks Battlestar Galactica Inc. are currently in the beginning stages of upgrading their Lake Tahoe, NV properties.

Lake Tahoe is a beautiful little town nestled up against a giagundo glacial lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains on the California-Nevada border. Driving from Reno takes about 40 minutes, unless you take your time and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Winter, spring, summer, fall... every season is fantastic in Tahoe. We urge all VT freaks to take a trip to Tahoe at some point... it's quite nice - and getting nicer.

Possibly in response to the upgrades at the Montbleu casino (formerly Caesars Tahoe) Harrah's will be doing $34 million dollars of upgrades to Harvey's and Harrah's - including boutique suites, restaurants, high limit salons, poker rooms, fancy new public areas and expanded retail options.

Comments & Discussion:

city is actually stateline, NV. Lake Tahoe is the name of the actual lake.

You are absolutely correct sir... "Stateline, NV" is the proper name for the South Lake Tahoe city where the gaggle of larger casinos are. Stateline, however dosen't really mean anything to most folks though. Californians generally refer to Primm as "Stateline" which is accurate but completely incorrect. All nomenclature aside... Tahoe rocks!
