Big Elvis Gets Bigger at Bill's Gamblin Hall and Saloon
With Harrah's takeover of the formery Barbary Coast many things have changed. Our own fact finding visit to the former BC - enhanced by readers tips and other reports in the blogopodosphere - have revealed that blackjack rules have been hog tied, video poker pay tables gutted, cheap gambling eradicated, restaurants moving, overall prices are changing... all that good-tyme corporate takeover stuff.
All thunderclapping aside, there is an upside to the BC/Bill's shakedown.
One of BC/Bill's prime assets - lounger Pete "Big Elvis" Vallee - is staying put. In addition to Big Elvis adding a Friday show, we received word today from Big Elvis' manager that Big E has signed a contract with Bill's that goes through 2008.
This also means that Harrah's has no plans to close or gut the place in the near future (probably).
Now get off yer asses and go see Big Elvis at Bills!

Comments & Discussion:
Kinda a shame about prices goin up. It is a great place to slum it, right next to all the big places such as bellagio or caesar's. I guess it's Casino Royale for me. I am not too worried, as long as Drai's stays the same.
