Harrah's To Open Casino in Second Life
No not really. But the FBI is currently investigating what some players of the online role playing game Second Life are up to while spending hours and hours inside virtual casinos betting virtual 'Linden Dollars' on slots, blackjack and poker. The rub - Linden dollars can be exchanged for cold hard cash in the 'First Life.'
There are almost 6,000,000 people currently living in the Second Life and there are hundreds of virtual casinos there to serve their Second Gambling Problem. Tech blog TechCrunch is wondering if the Primary FBI will create a Secondary FBI to login, create profiles and infiltrate the Second Life gambling dens.
Maybe it's time to login and create a Second Teamsters, with a SecondTeamsters Pension Fund, partnered with a Second Bank of Las Vegas and pay off some of these Second FBI guys with Linen dollars. Whomever dosen't take the bribes gets a cement bath.
Could it already be time for Dave Schwartz to update his fabulously awesome Roll The Bones?

Comments & Discussion:
I'm surprised that Second Life has taken off to the extent it has. When currency conversion was first announced, all veterans of online communities declared it dead on arrival because EVERY online game/community has had problems with duplicating in-game items, in-game currency, etc. The thing is a money laundering establishment waiting to happen, until the developers can't pay out and go broke anyway.
When they eventually bust Bill63942's Gamblin' Hall and eSaloon, forget Roll the Bones, I want an update to Casino.
