The Nevada Gaming Commission voted to approve the sale of Buffalo Bills, Whisky Pete's and Primm Valley to Herbst Gaming, operators of Terribles and owner of a handful of joints in Vegas and Reno (and more). The names will remain the same for the time being but the 'Terrible' brand will be introduced throughout the casinos.

MGM Mirage dumped the joints to Herbst for $400 million smackers.

Herbst gaming boss Ed Herbst gushed to the Review-Journal about the giant cowboy (named 'Terrible') that they are planning on erecting on the I-15 at the California state line:

"It wouldn't be surprising to see the largest cowboy in the state of Nevada out there on I-15," Herbst Gaming President Ed Herbst said Thursday after the Nevada Gaming Commission gave its formal blessing to the deal. "It's high on the priority list."

Herbst said the sign would be significantly larger than the 65-foot-tall Terrible Herbst cowboy near the intersection of U.S. Highway 95 and Rancho Drive.

Herbst also plans on spending $45 million dollars on upgrading the joints, including new slot machines, expanded amenities and a giant cowboy erection.

I drive by that ridiculous thing everyday. But there's a better attraction on the intersection of Rancho and 95... Larry's Villa!
