Two Viewpoints on Rumored New Frontier Sale

The rumored sale of New Frontier Hotel & Casino reported the other day has developed an interesting set of plumage. Contrasting reports, both of which quote New Frontier owner Phil Ruffin, paint two very different pictures of whats going on and underscore the conundrum that is the New Frontier.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal in its Wednesday edition quotes Phil Ruffin being conservative:

"There is no agreement and nothing is on paper," Ruffin said in an interview from his offices in Wichita, Kan. "Everything is very preliminary. I think they are just kicking the tires and checking the place out."

Reuters news service quotes Ruffin much more positively about the Elad deal:

"The contract has not been signed, but if everything goes OK, the deal could be signed in a couple of weeks,"

There is a big difference between kicking the wagon wheels and being weeks away from a $15 billion dollar deal.

Comments & Discussion:

Phil always has something to say to stay in the spotlight. Last year it was a new Casino Resort Hotel. Does anyone remember Monrtose. This one could be the real thing althogh more like 35million an acre. The place is sad. The employees act like they really dont want to be therre. Guess I will have to stop by and pick up a couple of souvenirs just in case.
