Jaames Caaan and Nikki Cox Fired From NBC's Laas Vegaas
A mere 24 hours after NBC announced that their semi-hit TV show 'Las Vegas' would return for a fifth season, the shows mega-stars Jaames Caaan and Nikki (Don't Call Me Courtney) Cox have left the show.
The NBC drama is moving from Monday's to Fridays... which pretty means that the reaper has booked suite in "Las Vegas's" penthouse. Nikki Cox's departure has been attributed to efforts by NBC to prune the cup size budget of the show. Sorry Nikki, you ain't worth it. Chances are Caaan's departure is part of the cost-cutting efforts as well, but NBC and Caaaan's reps are saying he's eager to return to feature films and "Las Vegas" has monopolized his schedule.
It is understood that Oscar-nominated actor Caan, who made his first foray into TV series with "Las Vegas," has been contemplating a return to features full time after having to turn down several movie offers because they interfered with his commitment to the show.
"I've had a wonderful four years, worked with great people and made friends for life working on 'Las Vegas,' but I'm eager to return to where my heart is, which is film, and due to the show's schedule, I missed some great opportunities to do that," Caan said. "I wish the show and everyone involved with it continued success."

Comments & Discussion:
I think we can officially say that the show jumped the shark with last week's episode.
Wait a second... the show is already on Fridays. Is it moving to Mondays? Along with Heroes? That could bring a ratings boost.
