Tropicana Atlantic City Planning To Go Smoke-Free

The Atlantic City Tropicana is making plans to be the first Atlantic City Casino to go totally smoke free. Instead of having smoking/non-smoking sections of a casino, the Tropicana is planning on having sealed in 'smoking lounges' or, as we like to call em, smoking fish bowls. The smoking lounges would be sealed glass rooms that would close whenever Trop employees come in to clean em.

Anyone whose ever been to the smoking lounges at McCarran airport knows that these enclosed sarcophagus' are putridly nasty, and an absolutely bad idea. We say, why bother... any smoker in their right mind would much rather go outside onto the boardwalk for a puff than spend any time at all in one of those things.

The big question here is, how long is it going to be before all of Atlantic City (and maybe even Vegas?) goes 100% smoke free. Personally, I find idiots who can't handle their booze to be a much bigger health risk than the granny chain smoking at the penny slots.
