New York-New York Unveils New Website

As MGMMirage continues to upgrade their physical properties in Las Vegas, they are also revamping and redesigning their virtual ones as well. So far, MGM Grand, LuXoR, Excalibur and Mirage have all seen major redesigns to their websites in the last year, leaving Bellagio and Mandalay Bay as the only properties yet to be redesigned.

The room descriptions have been pared down (they were already pretty sparse) but the large photos and obilgatory 360° room views are still there. One interesting feature is the "Rates from:" on each room detail page. No doubt that this will be removed when the customers complain that the quoted rates are 2x higher than the approximation given.

The map to the hotel uses the Google Maps API... nice touch. Another nice touch is the RSS feed for hotel deals and press releases.

Overall the MGMMirage folks did a great job on this site... its hip, clean, easy to read, navigate and it loads really fast. Kudos!
