Caesars Palace Atlantic City Surveillance Boss Suspended for Ooogling Female Gamblers
New Jersey's Casino Control Commission yesterday suspended the license of a former casino surveillance supervisor for 20 days for using cameras to watch women instead of monitoring gambling, but ruled that another former supervisor at Caesars Atlantic City had committed no violation.
The rulings were the latest actions in a case in which Caesars paid a $185,000 fine over allegations that four workers ogled women in 2004 using the cameras that watch over the gaming floor. In a 4-0 vote, with one member absent, the commission sanctioned James Doherty, but cleared Robert Swan. Both contended that the regulations did not apply to their positions.
