A winner with gamblers, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa wants to make room to accommodate more of them.

The 2,010-room casino hotel, which is to break ground on a $200 million expansion in December, will add a 500-room hotel tower after that to keep up with runaway demand, Chief Executive Officer Robert Boughner announced Tuesday.

In addition to the 500 standard rooms, the $347 million project will add 200 time-share resort condominiums, 100 suites, an outdoor pool, a spa and meeting space, Boughner said.

The $1 billion casino, a joint venture of Boyd Gaming Corp. and MGM Mirage, opened its doors 15 months ago as the first all-new casino in Atlantic City since 1990.
