The conversion of Caesars Tahoe to the upscale MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa is winning praise from tourism officials who like the nature theme.

The Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority initiated a "Blue World" marketing campaign in 2003 highlighting the lake's natural beauty and authority director Patrick Kaler says the revamped MontBleu complements the effort.

Man, they must have really done a number on this place. I stayed here (Caesars Tahoe) in 2004 and the place was like Caesars Palace in Vegas from the 70s. You should have seen the Roman opulence in the suites. It was hilarious. Straight out of Rain Man.
