Woman Wins Child Abandonment Jackpot after Leaving Baby In Casino Parking Lot
An Oshawa woman playing the slots at the Ajax Downs Casino has been charged after a five-month old baby girl was left alone in a car in the casino's parking lot.
The 37-year-old woman is the mother of the child and has been charged with child abandonment.
Durham Regional Police were called out to the parking lot on Alexander Crossing, near Kingston Rd. and Salem around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday after getting a report that a baby was left in a parked Pontiac Sunfire with both windows down about an inch.
