Much like Landry's did at the Golden Nugget, the fine folks at Vegas.com (Greenspun Media Group) have "made us an offer we can't refuse." Unless we receive a better offer from Colony Capital in the next 45 days, Vegas.com is set to purchase VegasTripping.com and our sister sites RenoTripping.com and AtlanticCityTripping.com for an undisclosed sum that we're not going to disclose or even hint at. Rest assured, we've put in notice at our Burger Kings and paid back our markers at Mirage.

Yes folks. We're a buncha sellouts. You're probably wondering: whats gonna happen to the only honest Vegas website out there? Who's gonna cut the baloney while every one else is cutting the cheese?

Well...some of the VT posse is going to be incorporated into running Vegas.com (and making it less lame) but some aren't. Chuckmonster has all the details: "Our programmer and designer are going to Vegas.com, but our Chief Editors, Sleazy Red & Don Guido, Ace Copland, Miss Monkay, H and myself are going to Bellagio to go blow some of this loot in the champagne slots. We've signed a 'non-compete' agreement for 2 years, so you won't hear a Vegas peep out of any of us until this date, 2009. Which will be just in time to cover the opening of Echelon Place and Project CityCenter."

Vegas.com has posted a press release about the whole deal here
