Wynn Resorts Ltd. now expects its planned Encore development on land adjacent to its main Las Vegas casino complex to cost $1.74 billion, according to a regulatory filing on Thursday, up from a previous estimate of $1.4 billion.

The cost for the planned 2,054-room hotel tower and casino due to be completed at the end of 2008 includes about $70.0 million for a new employee parking garage, a related pedestrian bridge and costs to be incurred in connection with preparing its Broadway Theater to host a production of "Monty Python's Spamalot," the casino company said.
