This is pretty shocking... dump Avenue Q but keep that Dragone piece of shit? Bizarre. Here's the story:

The show "Avenue Q" is reaching the end of the road on the Las Vegas Strip.

Wynn Las Vegas is pulling the plug on the triple Tony Award-winning production at the end of May. Hotel officials say they'll remodel the theater for "Monty Python's Spamalot" -- a popular Broadway show due that's being prepared to open in Las Vegas next year.

"Avenue Q" opened just last September -- and has gone through some tinkering since. Producers recently eliminated the show's intermission, trimmed it down to 90 minutes and started offering two-for-one tickets to locals for some performances.

Comments & Discussion:

Avenue q is terrific. Stupid to pull it. Probaly should have advertised differently. Spamalot sucks, unless you are into Monty Python. I had some idea when I saw it in Chicago, but if I'd been in Vegas I would walk out fast. Maybe that is the idea, people will walk out and gamble. Wynn will pull Spamalot. too. I would bet on that!
