Rolling Stone Magazine Eyeballing Vegas Casino
The New York Observer is reporting that Wenner Media chief and creator of Rolling Stone magazine, Jann Wenner, is negotiating with real-estate developers to license his magazine’s name to an estimated $500 million development with luxury hotel rooms, a casino and a music venue that would host “the biggest and most important music acts.”
“They’re in the early planning stages …. It’s going to be sort of along the lines of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino,” sources said. "Obviously" we say.
The probable location is the Harmon Strip... near Dubya, the proposed Las Ramblas and completion date is rumored to be 2008 (never happen unless they're building a structure the size of Holiday Inn).
VegasTripping is more than a little sceptical about this... $500M bucks dosen't buy much casino these days... Monte Carlo cost $350M to build 10 years ago.
