A freak accident at the roulette tables in Las Vegas has a Brewster plumber demanding a payoff.

Timothy Calkins was trying his luck when an employee at Harrah's Rio Casino on the Vegas strip ``negligently and carelessly'' stole his chair without his knowledge, according to Calkins' lawsuit now pending in federal court.

When Calkins went to sit down about 11 p.m. Aug. 14, 2002, his luck ran out. He fell backward and cracked his head on the gaming table behind him.

The bloody accident left the 49-year-old gambler suffering brain damage, including short-term memory loss and difficulty concentrating, he claims in the lawsuit. He allegedly suffers headaches, back problems and constant neck pain.
