The Nevada Gaming commission has postponed Gaming License approval for the new owners of the Reno Hilton because the new owners have yet to gather the necesscary financing to actually purchase the resort.

As outlined on RenoTripping.com, the Reno Hilton is about to begin a massive makeover, one of the first major developments in the Reno gaming sector since the opening of the Silver Legacy in 1995. The refurbished Reno Hilton, the largest hotel in the world in 1978 when it was opened as MGM Grand, will undergo a dramatic change of name and upgrade to the tune of $1.8 Billion dollars. When all is said and done, the Reno Hilton will offer a massive water park, mixed use shopping and condominium units and enhanced resort and casino amenities under the spiffy new name Grand Sierra Resort.
