A guard is recovering from a gunshot wound and a suspect is sought after a robbery this morning at a casino in Las Vegas. Details are still emerging after the 6:33am shooting at the Gold Coast.

Las Vegas police say witnesses heard several shots and saw a man running away from where the guard was shot in the leg. Money was found in the parking lot nearby. The suspect is still at large.

Police say the guard's been taken to University Medical Center. There haven't been any reports of other injuries. Police have an area around one entrance cordoned off -- while the rest of the casino remains open.

The Gold Coast is a Boyd Gaming property a few blocks west of the Las Vegas Strip.
