Siegfried and Roy Survive Drive By Shooting
No one was hurt in the Sept. 21 drive-by shooting, during which a witness said a man fired four shots from a white van and shouted that the former Siegfried & Roy stars should get out of the country, Metro police officer Jose Montoya said.
The shooting became public Monday, a day after Horn and friends celebrated his 60th birthday at the home northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. Sunday also was the one-year anniversary of a near-fatal tiger mauling that left Horn partially paralyzed and forced the closure of the long-running Siegfried & Roy show.
A gardener told police he saw the gunman driving the van as it cruised twice past the compound owned by Fischbacher and Horn about 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 21, according to a police report.
Shotgun pellets broke two windows and left a 12-inch hole in the house, montoya said. The police spokesman said he did not know whether Fischbacher and Horn were home at the time.
