SLS Las Vegas - The Real Deal :
SLS Las Vegas took the classic bones of the Sahara and dramatically transformed it into a new property aimed directly at Los Angeles residents who are familiar with their L.A. chains of eateries and nightlife offering. The result is a resort which is having difficulty competing with larger, nicer properties in better locations with better nightlife offerings.
Location of SLS Las Vegas:
SLS Las Vegas is located at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Boulevard, at the far north end of The Strip. It is accessible by car and monorail, walking isn't recommended unless you're starting point is one of SLS' nearest neighbors - Stratosphere, Riviera or Circus Circus.

Cool Stuff About SLS Las Vegas:
SLS Las Vegas History
The SLS Las Vegas opened open on Labor Day weekend 2014, roughly three and 1/2 years since it closed as the Sahara on May 16, 2007. Built on the site of the original Club Bingo, the Sahara was one of the last of the original Las Vegas resorts with a street named after it left on the Strip. It occupied a majestic place in the pantheon of Vegas hotel mythology, being a famous Rat Pack haunt, the site of the Beatles' first performance in Las Vegas in 1964 and where Elvis and Priscilla Presley got married. In later days, The Sahara couldn't keep up with progress, despite being charming. It was purchased by Stockbridge Real Estate Funds and SBE Entertainment in March 2007, who planned on upgrading it to compete with luxury properties on the Strip. Sahara was finally closed at 2pm on May 16, 2011.
