Real Deal on the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino
If you're stopping by the Rio for the buffet and are looking for some gambling... walk right past the first group of overpriced tables and keep going until you get to the BIG ROOM. You'll know it when you're in it. And don't be surprised when you're into your 3rd shoe at the blackjack table when a giant Brazilian carnival gets all crazy up on the ceiling. No joke. Must be seen to be believed... or laughed at - you choose.
Rio is also the home of the World Series of Poker so check the dates of the tournament and avoid the Rio during that time it if at all possible - it's pure insanity.
Are the vibes lucky at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino?
Similar to Harrahs, but with a bit more potential. Its a Brazilian carnival atmosphere with buff coctail waitresses and feathers and masks and kinda clowns and other shit. Fun. The minimums at the tables are a little higher during weekend afternoons (buffet times) but a good gamble can be found.

I love the Rio. The rooms are HUGE. and the room prices are pretty cheap most of the time. The pool is on par with any in Las Vegas. The Show in the Sky is great with all the scantily clad ladies and the drink service is great also. Love the Wine Cellar.

I've stayed in the Ipenema Tower and the Masquerade Tower. I will only stay in a Premium Suite in the Masquerade Tower. The rooms are much nicer and I can still get decent comps. The Rio has a nice pool, great restaurants, a party casino, a couple of slots my wife hits like an ATM, and some decent shows. I still think the bowling alley is a goofy idea. The waitress/bevertainers are gorgeous. Unfortunately, it's tough to find blackjack for under $25, even during the week. Some of the other games like Let it Ride have reasonable minimums, but they always raise them in the early evening sending me to another casino. I like the Masquerade Show in the sky and the Voodoo Lounge. You get the view from the top of the Rio and a place to sit without having to buy a $450 bottle of booze.

Stayed once, in the Big Kahuna Suite, with my friend the High Roller. That rocked.Nothing else about this place does, though. I may try the new ibar when I come out in Vegas.

The Rio has nice big comfortable rooms and a big fun casino although drink service didn't seem to be as good as other Harrah's properties. Every Vegas newbie should make the trip to see the Carnival show in the casino. On the downside, slots are tight, table minimums can be surprisingly high, and there aren't enough places to grab good cheap eats. (Maybe walk to the Palms which has a food court.)

masquerade show was really cool penn and teller was amazing they waited outside to talk and sign autograghs after the show
