Casino Royale History
Hidden in a little nook between Harrah's and the Venetian, (we doubt Bond would ever show his face here) the Casino Royale is a danky little sawdust joint that appeals to the grinder in all of us. They have lots of gaming and a casino facing gift shop where all the t-shirts are hung on the wall in plastic bags (to keep the effervescent smoke outta them). Cheap tables, funnnnnky vibes, and the ever present unexpected put this joint on the top of our list of bizarro must-see's for the Vegas Tripper. If you have no expectations, you won't be dissappointed.
Location of Casino Royale:
As mentioned... Casino Royale is shoehorned between Harrahs and the Venetian, with the Mirage right accross the street. You can watch the volcano and the Sirens of TI schtick from the craps table.
The Rooms at Casino Royale
152 super affordable rooms. We've never stayed here and probably never will - its a little sketch for our tastes - if you've got some info, pass it on.
Restaurants at Casino Royale
Dennys! Subway/Pizza Hut combo! Awesome! < / sarcasm>. A better bet is to hop next door to Harrahs and eat there... they've got much better food, or even head to the Imperial Palace for some vittles at the affordable Ippy's Deli. The Venetian is close by as well, but you have to walk 4 miles past a ton of shops and a massive lobby to get to the restaurants.

You guys forgot that there's an Outback Steakhouse upstairs. It was nice; I took my mother and she liked it. (She's a very picky senior.) Also, I like the $1 margaritas. I stopped by one time with some friends and those frozen margaritas (ok, they have no discernable alcohol in them) were a blessing in the 110 degree heat of summer. Get several, maybe the alcohol will have a cumulative effect. I like the funky, cheap atmosphere, at least as a contrast to places like Bellagio where my clothes make me self-conscious.

Haven't had the (dis)pleasure of staying here. I have met some of the most awesome people while gambling here and if you can beat $1 bottles of Michelob in Las Vegas, tell me where. The place is dumpy but I love the fact that this is next to the swanky Venetian, showing that you can't always pick your neighbors.

Great casino vibe. Kinda smokee (the low ceiling doesn't help). Blackjack Switch kicks maximum ass and 100X odds on craps rules. Dealers are nice and friendly and drink service is OK. Took full advantage of the $1 beers and margaritas.
