Parlor, Tablet Desk

The white furniture is quite a gamble. Despite having thousands of asses squished up on them the cushions of the couches and chairs were supple and full of support. The coloring wasn't discolored either, but some wear was evident.

"Head, 1946"
by Pablo Picasso
(1946)

A truly striking lithograph of Picasso's sketch from 1946 - the year the Flamingo opened. The subject of "Head" was Picasso's mistress from 1944-53 Francoise Gilot. It's simplicity and elegance are truly amazing - the perfect Picasso for these Parlor Suites.

Don't like Picasso? Think you could do a better job? Go nuts... build your own Picasso.

Wynn Dream Bed

Much has been written about Wynn Dream Beds. First night - best night of sleep I've ever had in my life. Second night - best night of sleep I've ever had in my life even though I had a nightmare - some food downtown gave me a little adjida. Obviously lots of folks who stay at Wynn Las Vegas agree about the Wynn Dream Beds, you can buy one at Wynn LVNV in the Esplanade for a cool $5k. Wynn still offers turndown service including some bedside chocolates to cap your evening off. Now if they'd leave a Gin & Tonic...

Chair, Ottoman and Bongo Table

For those reflective moments perusing the late night room service options this chair, ottoman, bongo table is quite handy. This chair - in and of iself isn't anything fabulous - but its placement in the room is. Angled as such so a slight turn to the left puts the giant Wynn . insignia on the chocolate tower in plain view. Let's hear it for concave buildings. The table next to it is essentially a marble bongo.

Awesome and hilarious review Chuck. Thank you for being a true renaissance man aware of your surroundings--most people think the Mondrian is an obscure decoration.

Beethoven's 5th piano concerto, the "Emperor", 2nd movement. Great touch ;-).

Thanks! Evidently some of the other works from the Wynn Gallery are hanging in the Villas. If only...

Believe me, I'm working on it (the Villas) and there will be a party of epic proportions if I pull through. I can't say for sure, but I'm almost certain the private baccarat rooms have some of the other masterworks as well.

Thanks for the wonderful, amusing and insightful review. We live in Las Vegas and love the poker room at Wynn and have always wondered about the hotel experience. Especially loved the detailed photos!
