Terrace Pointe Cafe at Wynn Las Vegas Review

Miss Monkay's dish looks scrumptious, the crab frittata. She said, "Basically it's a crab omelette." The hash browns were perfectly toasted and the egg was cooked through nicely along with a generous topping of salsa. The disc of egg trapped the crab meat inside keeping it piping hot. Salsa smothered over the frittata completed the kaleidoscope of flavors. I sampled a taste and it was heavenly, but I was obsessed by the real killer plate of the table:

...the Maine Lobster Benedict. This one is one of the BEST variations of the benedict family that I have ever had in my entire life. The perfectly poached eggs sat atop thick slabs of lobster claw meat blanketed with an exquisite hollandaise sauce. The kicker was the potato waffle instead of the traditional English muffin. Righteous. Topped with bacon strips made the dish all the more perfect. The chef has my admiration forever for this dish. Without question, another gold star is awarded to Wynn Las Vegas for the Best Breakfast. Well deserved, Steve.

You didn't mention the soft morsel of potato pancake that cradled the poached egg!

ok that made me hungry and i hate seafood

Ah yes, my bad. That was probably the best part of the dish... Tasty cakes!

I'm heading to The Vegas next week. I've been looking for an excuse to go to Wynn. I think you just provided me that excuse.

Now, if you want to try the BEST pancakes. Like, ever? You need to go to Key West, FL and hop on down to a place called Blue Heaven. Yeah, it's outside. Yeah, they use old sails over the trees as shade. OK, there are chickens and baby chicks peeping away at your feet for bits of toast. But that's part of the charm! The food is fanTASTIC and they have the best pancakes. Allow me to recommend the "Rooster Special." Some mighty fine eatin' right there.

Thanks for the review on this place. I will definately try it out...and see about these pancakes. :)
