Monte Carlo Monaco Suite Review By Antman73
This Is The Gateway To CityCenter
VT reader Antman73 recently spent five days in Monaco Suite at Monte Carlo (aka The Gateway to CityCenter) and brought back this incredibly informative review. Thank you Antman73 for sharing your experiences with us! Take it away...
While looking for a hotel for our tenth wedding anniversary trip to Las Vegas, my wife and I spent a fair amount of time exploring all of the great deals going on in the city.
This trip we really wanted to stay someplace we never went to before, so I was just a few hours away from booking at Treasure Island when I got a phone call. Very good friends of ours moved to Arizona and were going to be in town that same week and wanted to meet us. Great! They were bringing their kids for a family trip. Ok, well I'll bring my kids and have a different kind of vacation.
Now, I know no one loves the idea of kids in Las Vegas, and I want to make sure we don't bother anyone else... so it was time to pick a new hotel. We didn't want a "Kid Friendly Hotel" so Circus Circus and Excalibur were out. We just wanted one that was not "Kid Unfriendly." After reading the VT board and different reviews we decided on Monte Carlo. Wave pool, lazy river, food court, and not hip enough to get in too many peoples' way with a kid or two.
We booked at Monaco Suite, because we needed more room than a standard, but still one room. I don't trust my daughter with her own phone and access to the hallway, so two rooms were out... she's a seven years old! So, the Monaco Suite came to an average of $105.00 per night for 5 nights Saturday-Thursday, including a $12.95 resort fee, which I will get to later.
