Red Rock Hotel Casino Las Vegas Review - The Pool

Red Rock Hotel Casino Las Vegas Review - Aerial View of The Pools

The Pools at Red Rock

The pool or should I say pools at Red Rock are kick ass. As you can see in the above picture from our room there is one large pool with several smaller ones surrounding it. Great lounge chairs and cocktail service.

The Casino at Red Rock

As this is part of the Station family of casinos there was ample video poker and by ample I mean I have never seen so many different video poker machines in one casino. There was the usual assortment of slots, table games, poker room and two high limit rooms.

The Booze at Red Rock

There are a lot of choices at Red Rock to get your drink on, including:

The Sportsbook Bar - Big oval bar with flat screens and video poker.
Rocks Lounge - Live music bar with requisite cheesy cover band playing the night we were there.
Lucky Bar - Circular ultralounge in the middle of the casino with a cool crystal back bar.
Onyx Bar - A place to chill with a cocktail just off the casino floor.
Cherry Nightclub - Did not check it out but apparently a cool club that has a pool?? What is it with nightclubs and pools?

The Restaurants at Red Rock

There are eleven restaurants and a food court at Red Rock along with two Starbucks. We ate at: Grand Cafe - Better than average 24-hour hotel cafe. Feast Buffet is one of the best buffets I have eaten in Vegas. And you get $2 off with your boarding pass. Terra Rossa is the joint that Heather from Hell's Kitchen won the right to cook in. The room was nice, the food was great and our server was awesome. Try the osso bucco. The rest of the choices include a steakhouse, Mexican cantina, BBQ joint, oyster bar, Japanese place, great diner at the sportsbook and a food court including Fatburger.

Other Stuff

The Spa - Never went but apparently it is one of the best in Vegas. Regal Cinemas offers a 16-screen movie theatre. Red Rock has a swanky 72 lane bowling alley that is open 24 hours a day. When did bowling become en vogue again? Just asking. Kids Quest is some type of arcade thingy for the minors in the gang. Also, the pool area also doubles as a concert venue on the weekends. Blasts from the past Peter Frampton and The Doobie Brothers were playing there the weekend after we left.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed the stay at Red Rock. The entire place just felt "over the top" in every way but without being pretentious. It was pretty relaxing and as we were playing golf everyday it was the best location. The staff were genuinely concerned if we were having a nice stay from the valets/bellmen, housekeeping/room attendant to the shoe shine lady. If I were only going to Vegas for a 3 or 4 night trip I'm not sure I would stay there. Although Red Rock has a lot to do, it is fairly isolated and a $40 cab ride to the strip. If you are looking for a couple of days away from the insanity, I would definitely recommend Red Rock.

Great report donnymac, Red Rock is a gorgeous property... i'm glad we can all see inside the rooms now. Thanks!

Beautiful hotel. Horrible food at top restaurants. Service is very inexperienced as of yet-bell desk-spa restaurants-housekeeping. Still LOVE The Wynn

Excellent job, Donny. Thanks for getting us some shots.

I love the decor in the rooms and the bonus of the Panna water instead of some standard crap is a nice touch.

Thanks for posting and reading my review. I had a great experience there. The service in the hotel and the food and service in the restaurants were top notch. It's definately worth checking out.

Great review and pictures that make sense. Really appreciate the 411.
