MGM Players Club that good?

In an executive shuffle, Peter Johns of MGM Macau is going to Galaxy to help with the grand opening. What got my attention though was this line:

"He will, however, take with him to Galaxy Macau some insight into MGM Resorts Internationalís very successful customer loyalty programme."

Is the MGM Players Club "very successful"? Or are they talking about the wonky, let to be really implemented, mLife Card?

As for MGM Macau, I have always had qualms with their treatment of players/casino marketing. Granted it goes back when the place was in its first month and I had about $750 on the table, yet it took 45 minutes and the approval of 3-4 people to get served a freaking well-drink Gin and Tonic. Unbelievable! I hope Johns does better than that cluster-fuck.

It could be a relative thing. I'm not familiar with Galaxy's current "customer loyalty programme." However, if it involves a monkey running across a craps table and biting your face, then the MGM deal might be a step up. Probably not though.
