Wedding witnesses

An acquaintance who is getting married in Las Vegas in a civil ceremony noticed with some quandary that a witness is required legally. Chapels provide these but civil office does not. Could use a tip to professional witnesses (?) rather than their car service driver, ha. Thanks.

Hi there - often couples who get married at the civil office will witness for each other. It's rarely a problem to find a witness (who's not the car driver, although he/she will do in a pinch!) from the other folks in the office at the time.

Happy to answer any other questions your friend might have about getting married in Vegas! I did it myself. :)

Thanks! We've heard this elsewhere. Also, we had an old friend hire a homeless veteran recommended by a local Episcopal Church to serve as witness. Apparently he was happy as all hell to get twenty bucks and be in a picture. Go figure.
